Basic Course:
Practical Introduction to Working on the Computer

This basic computer course offers participants a practical introduction to working with computers, provides them with fundamental knowledge of the operating system, and gives them exciting insights into various application areas.

They will create and format texts, install apps, import photos for slideshows, communicate via email, and explore the diverse world of the internet. They will also learn how to store and retrieve data.
Upon completion of the course, participants receive a certificate documenting their acquired computer skills. This certificate confirms their proficiency in all essential office applications and their ability to function effectively in everyday office environments.

The following content will be taught:

Prerequisites: No prior computer knowledge required. Ideally, participants should have access to a PC or laptop, internet access, and an office suite.

Target group: Organizations or groups wishing to acquire basic computer skills for independent use. The one-day course is designed for a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants. Labdoo will provide a laptop on loan for the duration of the course.


Learning objectives and methodology/didactics:

Learning Objectives: Participants gain confidence and independence in using computers and can effectively utilize the mouse and keyboard. They become familiar with various applications and have gained initial experience. They save documents and know where to find them again. They can quickly find the information they need online. With these skills, they have a solid foundation for our advanced course.

Methodology/Didactics: This course is based on an action-oriented teaching model. Active participation of the participants is paramount. As key players, they are at the center of the learning process, with the pace and depth of the material being adapted to their needs. This gives them greater autonomy and encourages them to engage more deeply with problem-solving. The individual learning experience is more intensive and has a more lasting impact. The course structure is based on concrete, practical tasks.

Follow-up/continuation courses: Advanced computer course

Course language: The course language is German. The course can also be held in English upon request.
Course location: The course can be held in any training room in Switzerland. A projector is required. Delivery: The course is offered upon request.

Donation: A donation to the Association Labdoo.org (Switzerland) is expected, as well as a rental fee for the provided laptops. Travel and accommodation expenses will be charged if the course takes place outside of Labdoo's premises.
